What a delight! It's not often a movie can stand entirely on the strength of it's scriipt but that's exactly what Miss Pettigrew delivers in a whirlwind nod to movies from another generation. A surprisingly romantic, situation comedy that works on all levels and without a single car chase, though it does come frightengly close to offering a nude scene with the incredibly talented (and beautiful) Amy Adams, who once again delivers a stellar performance, as the girl next door willing to sell anything, even herself, for her dreams of stardom & success.

Every now and then a movie comes along that is just hitting on every level and Pettigrew is such a movie. I found myself smiling through the entire movie, savoring every delicious moment & wishing it would all not end too soon. I couldn't recommend this movie any higher. This is one of the gems you always hope for when you head of to the movies! You will have to search a bit to find this movie as it is not playing at most major (AMC) theaters but mostly at your local, Independent film theaters.

I rate this a my highest 10/10 and you won't see that rating very often from me.
